In 2010 when I first started working with my energetic healer, he invited me to read his poetry on the online Poetry Chaikhana forum. I don’t know if I would have started writing sacred poetry otherwise. I absorbed so much about sacred poetry through my participation there. I was happy to contribute my poetry and my computer expertise when the group began this worthy anthology project several years ago. A selection of poetry from all contributing Chaikhana and Delighted Teahouse forum poets was woven into a mystic whole, not without some challenges! At last the book has been successfully brought to printing by the editors. Note that all proceeds of the book benefit the Ninash foundation’s work supporting literacy in India!
A Moonlit Teahouse – Anthology Of Sacred Poetry
A Moonlit Teahouse Anthology of Sacred Poetry presents a selection of works by 26 poets who have participated in the online Poetry Chaikhana and Delighted Teahouse poetry forums. The book contains an introduction by Ivan Granger, author of Real Thirst, Poetry of the Spiritual Journey and creator of the website Poetry Chaikhana, Sacred Poetry from Around the World. On the back cover of the book are blurbs by Ivan Granger and Lisa Starr, poet laureate of Rhode Island 2007-2012 and creator of the Block Island Poetry Project. The book is a perfect bound 5.5 by 8.5 inch paperback containing 226 pages, designed and illustrated by Priya Shah.
All proceeds from the sale of this book of poetry will be donated to the Ninash Foundation, a 501 © (3) charity that promotes literacy among female and minority children of India.
