Yesterday, I was about to leave for lunch
I felt I was not coming back to my office
I noticed how fond I felt of this room
The soft lights, this place where I sit
So I left there prepared, never to return

My son and I played at the pool
So hot it was after school
How sweetly together did we play
I thought of your children
And held them the same way
And when bedtime was done
I sang my nighttime prayers
